Now that Trump’s in charge, fighting for climate change is going to be even more difficult considering he doesn’t believe in it. Remember this?
Since his inauguration, Trump has ordered the Environmental Protection Agency to remove the climate change page from its website, made moves towards building the Dakota pipeline, and has posted on the White House website about removing the Climate Action Plan and the Waters of the U.S. rule. So efforts for preserving the environment are not looking good under Trump’s presidency.
CNN reported that following the overwhelming turn out of the women’s march, scientists are beginning to organize their own march on DC for issues of transparency, scientific funding and climate change. So if you need some inspiration to get involved or need to convince your estranged uncle that the environmental crisis is indeed real – check out these documentaries.
An Inconvenient Truth
This climate change classic featuring Al Gore lit a conversation about the issue 11 years ago. This science heavy documentary is just as relevant today. Definitely worth a rewatch to spark action to combat the environmental crisis.

The 11th Hour
As the title suggests, The 11th Hour is about the crisis that we find ourselves in, but not without hope for a better future. The documentary features more than 50 specialists discussing how humans’ way of life has impacted the ecosystems, and how by changing how we live and embracing the technology we have, we can reverse the damage before the clock hits 12.
Greedy Lying Bastards
Particularly potent at this time, Greedy Lying Bastards documents the reasons why and how people in power deny climate change for their own benefit. Not the most hopeful documentary on the list but you’ll definitely be pissed off by the end of it.
Yert
For when you are sufficiently scared and maybe feeling a little disheartened about the state of the world lighten the mood by watching three friends take a road trip around the US to see how everyday Americans are doing their part for the environment.
Before the Flood
This visually stunning picture follows environmental activist Leonardo DiCaprio as he speaks with world leaders about the efforts being made towards solving climate change in this terrifying yet hopeful depiction of what is happening to our planet.
